A storm system is currently spinning off the coast of the Pacific Northwest. It looks impressive on the satellite image below. This system, along with another behind it, will bring a chance for rain this weekend.
Both systems are going to be starved of moisture, so rain amounts will be extremely limited. A few showers will be possible Saturday morning (60%) as the first wave of energy passes. Another round of light rain will pass the area Sunday night (40%). Definitely don't cancel any outdoor plans this weekend.
Latest computer data continues to show a much more impressive system affecting our area next Thursday. This system is currently far away in the Arctic Circle, so a lot can change in the coming days. I'll keep an eye on it and bring updates as it approaches.
