The weather pattern is going to become more active in the coming days. The first of many storm systems is currently in the Pacific Ocean headed this way. You can spot it spinning in the satellite loop below.
This system will bring showers Friday night and intermittently through the day Saturday. I've posted the computer projected rain totals through Sunday morning below.
The next system is more challenging to forecast. The computer projections diverge with some bringing the storm overhead, while others push it south. I'm leaning towards the southern route, though we could still see some stray showers or light rain Sunday 12/31 into early Monday 1/1.
Yet another system will arrive for the middle of next week. Computer projections are more consistent with this storm. They show rain arriving Wednesday 1/3 and lasting into Thursday 1/4.
Lastly, long range projections show a possible 4th system by Saturday 1/6 into Sunday 1/7. Obviously this is far away, so there will be be some adjustments to the forecast.
I'll keep an eye on the scenario and bring more updates as the data becomes more concrete.
