NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED SUNDAY 3-7-2021

Patchy mist and drizzle will move through the area tonight, but I'm keeping my eye up north. The core of the next storm system is a few hundred miles off the coast of Seattle. You can spot it spiraling in the satellite loop below. Over the next couple days it will meander down the coast and settle into our area for the second half of the workweek.

Scattered showers and an occasional downpour will be possible intermittently Tuesday evening and persist through the day on Wednesday and Thursday. A lingering isolated shower or thunderstorm will be possible on Friday as the core of the system passes overhead. Coastal and inland 3-day rain totals should be 1" or less. Isolated areas in the mountains could approach 2".

Snow levels will range from 4,500 to 5,500 feet for this system.

I've posted the computer projected rain and snow totals below.
