Our next storm system is currently spinning in the Gulf of Alaska and will dive southward in the next 24 hours, bringing more rain to our area for the start of the workweek.
Some moisture will migrate into our skies ahead of this system. A few light showers are possible this evening and tonight. Drizzle and isolated light showers are possible Monday, especially in the mountains.
More persistent rain will develop once the core of the system settles overhead Monday night into Tuesday. Periods of rain and an occasional downpour will be possible through Tuesday. Intermittent showers will linger into Wednesday, then the rain chance will diminish Wednesday night.
Snow levels will generally stay above 10,000 feet through Monday. They will drop to 5,500-6,500 feet by Tuesday afternoon and then to 4,500-5,500 feet midday Wednesday.
