NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED TUESDAY 3-13-2018

The active weather pattern will continue for most of the West Coast. A large and weakening storm system is spinning off the coast (seen on satellite loop below). Pieces of energy will spin around this system and into our area.

Light rain will arrive from 8 PM to 11 PM tonight. Light rain and isolated showers will persist though midday Wednesday.

Another round of rain will pass the area Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A stray shower could pop up on Friday, however, most of the day looks dry. Then round three will move into Southern California Friday night. This will linger into early Saturday afternoon.

Snow levels will generally stay above 6,000 feet, though they could briefly dip down to 4,500 feet Thursday morning.

I've included computer forecast rain and snow totals through Sunday morning (below). You can see that the amounts will be fairly low in our area. Luckily the Sierra's continue to get a lot of precip!

Yet another chance for rain should arrive Tuesday/Wednesday of next week.
