NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO - TROPICAL STORM LIDIA: UPDATED 1 PM SATURDAY 9-2-2017

Tropical Storm Lidia will continue to weaken as it moves to the northwest. The computer forecasts for track and intensity are posted below.

Although the core of the storm will miss San Diego to the west, it will still be close enough to bring showers and isolated downpours to the area on Sunday.

Strongest winds will remain near the center of the storm off the coast. The low pressure will be closest to San Diego right around 9 AM to 4 PM Sunday. The computer forecast for sustained winds is posted below. Sustained winds of 30-40 mph can be expected offshore during this time.

The storm will continue its northwest path into Sunday night, so rain chances will quickly diminish heading into Labor Day.
