Yes, that is not a typo! The system will get cut off from the governing upper level flow. It will then meander south of our area and move backwards (west) for the weekend. You can spot its' erratic path on the animation below.
These are called cut off lows and are extremely difficult to forecast. It will take careful monitoring over the next few days before I can give any concrete rain forecasts.
