NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED SATURDAY 2-4-2023

Our next storm system is a few hundred miles off the coast in the Pacific Ocean. You can see the associated clouds in the satellite loop below. These clouds will overspread the area today and tonight. 

A few showers are possible Sunday morning and early afternoon. There isn't much moisture with this system, so most rain will be light. Snow levels will drop to 5,000-6,000 feet some some light snow is possible in local mountains.

I'm keeping a closer eye on a possible pattern change by next Sunday (indicated in the map below). The computer projections are not consistent with timing, but it still looks like a couple systems could affect the area in 8-14 days.
