NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED SUN 11/8/2015

The next storm system is barreling down the coast today. You can spot it in the satellite loop below. Scattered rain showers are currently moving through Central and Northern California.

I'm expecting the cold front to be on our doorstep midday tomorrow. A few showers will be possible Monday afternoon, though it won't amount to much (30%).

The core of the system will then pass overhead Monday night into early Tuesday morning. During this time, the atmosphere will be somewhat unstable, so scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm will develop (60%). The threat for rain diminishes by Tuesday afternoon.

Winds will be strong Monday and Tuesday, where gusts could approach 30 mph. Gusts in the mountains will be stronger: as high as 50 mph.

Temperatures Wednesday and Thursday morning will dip into the 40s - chilly!
