NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED SUNDAY 3-9-2025

Our next storm system is a few hundred miles off the coast and headed our way (seen in the satellite loop below). Showers and isolated downpours will be possible through the day on Tuesday. Snow levels will remain fairly high: ranging from 6,000 to 7,500 feet.

The next storm system will then dive out of the Gulf Of Alaska. Patchy drizzle and light rain are possible Wednesday, however, the real show arrives early Thursday as the front blasts into the area. Rain and downpours/thunderstorms will be possible early Thursday. Then showers will persist into Thursday afternoon. 

One last round of scattered showers will pass the area on Friday, with things finally drying off Friday night.

Snow levels will start at 6,000-8,000 feet Thursday morning, then drop to 3,500-5,000 feet Thursday evening into Thursday night. Significant snow accumulations are possible in local mountains late Thursday, so keep a close eye to the latest advisories from the National Weather Service!

Yet another storm system could impact the area around Monday 3/17 to Wednesday, 3/19.
