During this time of the year, all eyes are up near the Gulf of Alaska and out in the Pacific. These are where almost all of our storm systems originate. I've been closely watching a system brewing up near Alaska (seen on the satellite loop below). This will bring us a brief chance for rain Sunday night.
Latest computer forecasts have this system clipping our area Sunday evening into Sunday night. The storm track isn't ideal, in fact, most energy will be focused east of our area. Also, moisture will be limited. Regardless, it's a potent system that will bring winds and a slight chance for rain, or even a brief thunderstorm (30% chance for rain). Afterwards, the rest of next workweek looks dry and warm.
I'll keep watching it and bring more updates if there are any changes to the forecast.
