NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED TUESDAY 9-16-2025

Tropical Storm Mario is dissipating as it slowly moves to the northwest. It's currently a few hundred miles west of the Baja coastline. Computer projections show that it will continue its northwest trek, then turn slightly north over the next couple days.

Some tropical moisture will extend northward from the storm and bring a chance for a few showers on Wednesday, especially in the afternoon.  The chance for rain will continue into early Thursday. An isolated shower is still possible in the mountains on Friday.

I've posted the computer projected rain totals below. It will be nice to see some more rain in the area - we need it!
