NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED TUESDAY MORNING 3-14-2023

The active weather pattern continues for Southern California. The next storm is on our doorstep and can be seen bringing clouds to our area in the satellite loop below.

A few light showers will develop between 11 AM and 4 PM. The heaviest rain will hold off until tonight, where periods of moderate and heavy downpours are possible. Showers will become more isolated by Wednesday morning. These isolated showers will then be possible through Wednesday evening.

Snow levels will remain high, so I'm not expecting snow in local mountains. I've posted the computer projected rain and snow totals across all of Southern CA below. Most of our area will see 2 to 4" of rainfall.

Another slight chance for some light rain returns Friday into Friday night. Rain amounts will be less than a quarter inch.

Yet another system could affect our area next Tuesday and Wednesday. This system will be colder, so we could see snow return to the mountains. With that said, the computers have been inconsistent with this system, so there will be adjustments to the forecast in the coming days.
