WEATHER UPDATE: THURSDAY 11-20-2025

Our next storm system is on our doorstep. It will bring rain with isolated downpours and possible thunder this evening and tonight. The heaviest rain will move out by Friday morning. 

Isolated showers will pop up during the day Friday as the core of the system settles into the area. Some thunder is also possible.

Another round of some steady rain will pass the area Friday evening into early Saturday morning. The best chances for this round will be in the southern half of the county.

The rain chance diminishes by Saturday morning and the weekend is looking nice! I've posted the rain projections below.

Thanksgiving is looking dry and warm. I'm watching for another storm system arriving by the end of the month into the first week of December. I'll keep you posted!

WEATHER UPDATE: FRIDAY 11-14-2025

A few light showers are passing the area this morning. It's an appetizer for what's to come. More light showers will return this afternoon and evening. 

The bulk of the heavier rain will arrive tonight into Saturday morning, where moderate showers and occasional downpours will be possible. You might hear a rumble or two of thunder as well. 

Showers will become more isolated Saturday afternoon and evening. Most of the rain should exit Sunday morning with a very slight chance for a shower Sunday afternoon.

I've posted the rain and snow projections below. Another system will arrive on Monday, bringing more rain Monday afternoon and evening. Looking beyond, the weather pattern might remain active the rest of this month. I'm keeping an eye on it!

NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED 11-11-2025

A large storm system has been spinning out in the Eastern Pacific for the past couple days. It's finally going to get a kick by another system diving out of the Gulf Of Alaska. You can see it unfolding in the satellite loop below.

Rain should arrive Thursday evening into Thursday night. Showers and isolated downpours will persist throughout Friday. A lingering isolated shower is still possible on Saturday. 

Snow levels will remain fairly high, so accumulations will stay in the mountain ranges to our north.

I've posted the computer projections for total rain and snow through Saturday evening. 

The computers are divergent once you get past Saturday. We could see a little more rain for next week, but it's too difficult to pinpoint exact timing. I'll bring more updates as the picture becomes more clear.
