NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED SATURDAY 4-9-2016

Clouds will continue to thicken into the afternoon as a storm system approaches the area. You can spot it on the visible satellite loop below. Hit-and-miss showers will be possible this afternoon and especially in the evening/overnight period. Isolated downpours and an occasional rumble will also be possible.

A lingering shower could pop up on Sunday, however, I wouldn't cancel any outdoor plans. Just keep an eye to the sky and you should be good to go.

A few more showers could pop up on Monday as a fast-moving system breezes past the region. Afterwards, the next system is tracking farther east, so it might miss us for the end of the workweek. Rain is looking less likely for that time period.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED THURSDAY 4-7-2016

A storm system is currently spinning overhead and bringing scattered showers to the region. Periods of rain will persist into tonight. The chance for rain remains on Friday, though it will be more spotty in nature.

Another storm is right on the heels of the current system (you can spot it on the satellite loop below). This will bring showers and isolated downpours for the weekend.

Yet another storm arrives Monday and one more possibly next Thursday/Friday. I'm still determining the exact track of these systems, so I'll bring more updates as they approach.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATE MONDAY 4-4-2016

The next storm system is currently spiraling several hundred miles off the Baja coast (seen on the satellite loop below). This system is cut off from the main flow of the jet stream. These type of systems can be hard to predict due to their erratic behavior. Regardless, it still looks like we have a chance for rain this Thursday and possibly Friday.

A similar system could pass this weekend as well. I'll have more updates later in the week.
