SAN DIEGO RAIN TOTALS: 4-26-2015 & 5 DAY TOTALS

Below are the 24 hour rain totals from yesterday evening into this afternoon. The second image shows the 5 day rain totals. Although most coastal and inland regions missed out on a lot of the rain, mountain regions picked up a healthy amount.

We could possibly see a little rain return near the end of the first week of May. I'll keep you posted.

SAN DIEGO RAIN TOTALS: FRIDAY 4/25/15 & STORM TOTALS

I've posted yesterday's rain totals (first image) along with the totals for the past three days (second image). A fast-moving system will clip our area tonight. Rain showers will be possible this evening into Sunday morning. Best chances for rain will be roughly around 6 PM tonight to 10 AM tomorrow.

Coastal and inland areas will receive a quarter inch or less. Mountain areas will get a half an inch to an inch of much-needed rainfall. The tallest mountains in San Jacinto and San Bernardino will get a few inches of snow.

SAN DIEGO RAIN TOTALS 4/23/2015-4/24/2015 & WEATHER UPDATE

Isolated light showers and patchy drizzle will be possible on-and-off this evening and tonight. Rain chances diminish by tomorrow morning. Another round of light rain will arrive on Sunday. I've posted the rain totals from yesterday (first image) and then the rain totals for the past 48 hours (second image).

SAN DIEGO RAIN TOTALS: WEDNESDAY 4/8/2015

Rain totals were minimal across the area.

Obviously we are hurting for some rainfall. Here is a map showing how dry it has been this rain season. It is the percent of normal rainfall.

There will be a shift in the weather patter later this month. A strong blocking ridge will develop in the Gulf Of Alaska. This ridge will be far enough north to allow a possible system to sneak underneath. We saw this earlier in the rain season, so it's possible to see it happen again...around the 4/17 to 4/25 time frame. Otherwise, rain chances look slim over the next several days.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE SAN DIEGO: UPDATED 4/7/2015

A few showers and an isolated downpour will be possible tonight from 8 PM to 4 AM. Wednesday then looks dry. There was some speculation on possible rain for this weekend, however, unfortunately that storm system will miss us to the south.

I'll post rain totals tomorrow morning once the system passes.
